Apache /users

Hi, we're experimenting with setting up Linux(RedHat) on a small network, running Apache and FTP(proftpd), however we have som problems.

HTTP is up and running, but when creating a folder under document root, we cant access this folder from the browser (dns problems it says)

Anyone here that have a clue about what this is?
please

best regards Thomas A.

Could you tell us a bit more?

- Can you access files in the documentroot itself?
- Are you accessing the pages from a local browser or connect from the outside?
- Any clues in the logfiles (apache and other)?
- Please copy/paste the error message.

Are the permissions on subdirectory and/or files correct?
