Apache fully qualified somain name?

[Tue Aug 13 11:46:32 2002] [alert] apache: Could not determine the server's fully qualified domain name, using 127.0.0.1 for ServerName

I think the above message is what is causing my problem. I am using the default httpd.conf which came with my debian install. Could this be the reason i cannot access my linux box, using my registered domain name, from within my lan?

Thanks

tharris

You need to fill "ServerName" in Apache config file (httpd.conf). Insert your server full name then restat Apache and it should work (if configuration is correct, of course).

The SOLUTION !

Hello,

i find the solution!
you must to force the directory of httpd.conf.
/usr/local/apache/httpd -f /usr/local/apache/conf/httpd.conf

Enjoy!
