Apache error_log "file not found" question

Hi all,

I am getting some weird errors in my error_log file.
Code:
[Wed Nov 26 09:39:44 2003] [error] [client 192.168.5.16] File does not exist: /home/www/chris/duck2.gif, referer: http://www.bartlett-family.net/chris/
[Wed Nov 26 09:39:44 2003] [error] [client 192.168.5.16] File does not exist: /home/www/chris/test.gif, referer: http://www.bartlett-family.net/chris/
[Wed Nov 26 09:39:54 2003] [error] [client 192.168.5.16] File does not exist: /home/www/sokhan/duck2.gif, referer: http://www.bartlett-family.net/sokhan/

[Wed Nov 26 09:40:13 2003] [error] [client 192.168.5.16] File does not exist: /home/www/nancy/test.gif, referer: http://www.bartlett-family.net/nancy/
[Wed Nov 26 09:40:19 2003] [error] [client 192.168.5.16] File does not exist: /home/www/john/duck2.gif, referer: http://www.bartlett-family.net/john/
[Wed Nov 26 09:40:19 2003] [error] [client 192.168.5.16] File does not exist: /home/www/john/test.gif, referer: http://www.bartlett-family.net/john/

I ONLY get these error messages when visiting the "people" links to the right on my site, http://www.bartlett-family.net/home.html

I don't get them from any other page. The files test.gif and duck2.gif don't even exist (which would explain the error), but my question is this:

What is this error telling me? What is LOOKING for these nonexistent files? I have no ideas what these files are and where they come from. Thanks!

Chris

Are you getting any 404 errors on your site? Are you sure there's not something in the HTML on these pages that's making a call to these files? That's all it looks like is happening.

Not getting any 404 errors. Not getting any errors at all, actually. There's nothing regarding those two files in the html. Feel free to look at the source code. Like I said, they have NEVER even existed! I have no idea what all this is! Thanks for replying!

Chris

They are getting included from your "image_mouseover.js" script.

A HA,

You're right! I never took those out after I got the script! Thanks, David!
