Apache 1.3.34 to Apache 2.0

i use Apache 1.3.34, i want to upgrade to Apache 2.0. i want to ask is it possible to copy the old httpd.conf (v1.3.34) to the new installation of Apache 2.0 ?
i mean will that work? or do i have to reconfigure Apache 2.0 from scratch?
actually i have some important conf sections in the old file and i hope i can reuse it, is that possible?

I would use the new version, there have been quite a few changes. From memory I would imagine that virtual hosts will all be the same format.

The easiest way to test would just be to have both servers running at the same time, either on different IPs or different ports.
