Another Samba printing question
Sorry for the length of this post. I read the other posts concerning this and didn't see much that applied to my problem. This is the problem... When printing to windows from my linux (Mandrake 9.0) box, I get the "positive name query response from...", then it asks for a password, then the "smb: \>" prompt. So far so good. Then I send the file I want to print (eg. print /etc/samba/smb.conf), and I get "putting file "/etc/samba/smb.conf as smb.conf-9317 with an average speed number". Ok. Windows sees this and the print manager fires up. Then it dies. No jobs queued, no nothing. The Win printer is a Canon S450. Mandrake has a driver for this. I've been trying for a while with this and nothing. Following is my smb.conf file (Forum Rules says I may not post attachments). If anyone has any ideas... Thanks.
