Hi! If possibly, I'm need you guys help urgently for my project. Anyone who familiar with amanda backup file system !!



I have confusing with some configuring file, accoring through the note from wiki.zmanda.com/index.php/Quick_start

i use the default user name amanda, i work remotely to the server where i have to configure in order to enable backup my pc as a client

the file that create me problem here is .amandahosts i create this file and put in the home directory of the amanda user as vi /var/lib/amanda,

but when i su amanda i couldn't cat .amandahosts
the error: permission denied

so I confuse whether what is the home directory of amanda user(default), or i should put this file by creating an account where home directory on the server is /home/somename

confuse i dont know who gonna help me, i newbie to linux and window i like network system administration couse but it's really tension
