After Apache

I just set up my apache server. Now I have a couple questions. This is going to be a server for about 24 computers. So they have to be able to upload and download, via FTP. Now I can see there computers, and they can access the server. How do I get a ftp up and running? I want the students, to be locked in there DIR and be able to log in via a Login and Password. Also be able to create a new user, with out going in and editing a file. Like a check box if new user. The clients (student computers) are running Windoze 2000.

I am running apache 2.0 and running Ubuntu 5.10.

Look into setting up a chroot ftp with vsftpd. It's a very straightforward setup.

You should Build "web dav" for apache, specially for apache2. Web Dav is Use to administration your web site. You can Build New User and password , and also new directory in your web htdocs. I suggess you read the module web dav for apache2.
