Hi,

I recently installed Kubuntu 9.10 along side windows Vista on a Toshiba Satellite A105-S4284. Everything went fine (installation and all) but when i tried to setup ADSL connect it dosen't work. I 'googled' around and did the 'pppoeconf' in the terminal, everything went fine with the setup but it's not connecting and I can't get online. I did the 'plog' and 'ifconfig ppp0' commands, it says 'connection not responding' 'connection hanged up'. I'm not using / don't have a router. So I'm trying to set it up directly. 'pon dsl-provider' works well, I just don't know what else to do or how else to get it up.

I set it up and use it on Vista but Kubuntu is not working.

Pls can someone assist me? I'll appreciate your kind response.

#sudo pon dsl-provider


Do pppoeconf again and make it start automatically at boot
