adsl connection in fedora 6

hello everybody,
I m new to linux.I have installed fedora 6. My broadband connection works fine in windows but in fedora 6 problem occur.I setup all netork config. by selecting xdsl connection and giving username & password correctly.my ethernet card is ok and active.when I try to activate adsl connection it shows this message...

/usr/sbin/adsl-start: line 215: 4040 Terminated $CONNECT "$@" > /dev/null 2>&1
I donn no what to do???

well DO you have an ADSL connection on the Linux box?? I seriously doubt it, especially if you're talking about your ethernet card too.

BTW, Fedora 6 is obsolete and long out of support. You should not be using it at all. Using old software is not a good way to learn Linux.
