Add/edit/delete MS DNS records from Linux

Hi,

I know BIND has rndc. Does windows have a utility that allows remote editing of records on MS DNS server FROM LINUX? I've looked at wbem a little but, have not confirmed if it allows adding/editing DNS records.

What about DHCP leases, etc?

Any insight would be helpful.

Thanks.

Hi,

I use Real-VNC to connect to my M$-servers, but I use it from M$-workstations. Here is a tutorial which describes how one can connect via Real-VNC from Linux to an M$-server: http://www.yolinux.com/TUTORIALS/VNC.html

may be you could use -X ssh option. in this way you can execute command that help you to configure DNS server. If you use linux don't need install other windows server, if you use Win, may be you will need to install a X Win server like Xming. But definitely, the command line is the best option. :)
