add a static route in Network init files

In REd Hat 9.0 I need to add some static routes like
route add xxx.xx.xx.xx dev ethx
I don't wont that routes to be throw a gw, otherwise I would have used /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/route-ethx in Red Hat with folowing syntax :
xxx.xxx.xx.xx via xxx.xx.xxx.xxx in that file
Any help would be appreciated

u can prefer /etc/sysconfig/static-routes files.
syntax is same as route. u just need to use "any" instead of "route add":

any net xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx netmask xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx dev ethX

good luck
