add a promiscus route


Hi

I am using Redhat AS3 can any body tell me hosw to add a promiscus route

HI

I have been using route add -net <destination> netmask <something> gw <gatway> on rc.local file it works. But it seems there is yet a another way

For RedHat linux (enterprise) go to this link.

Promiscuous route? I've never heard of such a thing. Do you by any chance mean putting a NIC in promiscuous mode? Perhaps you mean configuring a switch port as a span port?

Please clarify what you're attempting to accomplish.

Edit: Apparently you meant static routes, and answered you own question...
