Ad manager problem

I have some friends that are now running a linux server and they downloaded an ad manager server program called php ads made by Tobias Ratschiller , using MySQL database and written in php. They told that after compiling and configuring this program everytime they call it on any browser (windows and linux) they get the same previous autentication window over and over ( sorry for not being more specific ) if you be some kind to point other similar programs or a way to solve this i would really apreciate .
BTW I think they're natural born slackers but just didn't know. they have now 5 computers running slackware 8.1 on a local network and they are building a firewall (iptables) before going out there.
