Active Directory User Cannot Write to Samba Home Directory

Seems there are a ton of Active Directory issues, but none that quite match my problem.

I have AD setup with a W2K server and a FC5 Linux box. All is well authentication-wise, but I have one user (yes, only one) who cannot write to his home directory on the Linux box. I've even changed the file permissions to 777 and he still can't write to it.

Further, I have a share in which no one can get to the second level of. Like the share is /home/archive and everyone can get into that, but no one can get into the /home/archive/blah folder, for example.

Things are messed up...can anyone point me to where I might be going wrong?

Thanks!

so he/she is trying to write to his home directory from windows?!

I take it if you log onto the linux box as said user read/write permissions are granted ??

It sounds like your share permissions could be messed up... care to post your smb.conf file? That way everyone has a better understanding of your setup.
