Accessing Usenet articals in BASH (FC5)

Hi all,

I recently installed snownews after reading about USENET. I was under the impression that a vast amount of articals etc under various newsgroups were available and I'm having trouble getting at them. I entered some rss feeds (BBC news etc) no trouble but thats about it!

I tried to install the tin newsreader but that told me I needed a domain name - which I don't have.

Do I need to be a news server to get full access?
Am I using the right software?

Cheers Chris.

You want Thunderbird or Evolution or a CLI MUA like Pine.
