accessing nt from linux

Hi

I am able to access NT4 from linux but can't access XP Pro or W2K.

I'm using gnomeba and when I click on the NT share that I want, it asks for a user and password. Where do I get this from, smbpasswd? if so, Suggestion of where I can find a sample smbpasswd?

I can read files and move them from linux but I can't write to linux from any NT machine . Is this also a smbpasswd thing?

Yours without wax

jan
