About port on BIND9

Hi folks,

I'm prepared building a DNS server (BIND9) on a guest of a Xen box serving other servers also running as guests on the same Xen box. I have no idea which port is needed by DNS server. I have only ONE external IP. If the same port is also needed by another server is there any glue sorting out this difficulty. Can I backport the same port to another server. If it is possible please advise how to do it. Pointer will be appreciated. TIA

I have no problem setting up BIND9 on mail server and disabling /etc/resolv.conf afterwards.

you know you really should have learnt to do some research for your self by now shouldn't you? if you don't know what port dns uses, go to google and type in "what port does dns use" and click search. infact... try this - http://letmegooglethatforyou.com/?q=...t+does+dns+use
