AAA server... that's kinda an open ended question isn't it ?

AAA server = Authentication Authorization Accounting server

Did you have something more specific in mind ? freeradius perhaps ?

indeed.....its a very weird description....
AAA is a very wide domain
you could be be either talkin about the various protocols(Radius or Diameter)
or the architecture
or the applications running on it
