i setup vsftpd server and works fine. but when I type IP address and press enter in IE, it shows error message as 530. I have to right click and click login as to provide credentials.
Do not want to enable anonymous, is there any way to make IE to ask for a credentials when trying to access the server.
I don't know about IE, but firefox when it finds a URL ftp://host.domain.com, it first tries to login anonymously and if it fails, then it presents user a dialog box to enter username/password.
I guess IE works the same.
