I'm connected to the internet via a 3G USB modem using Vodafone Mobile Connect driver for Linux on Ubuntu, but its like the computer isn't realizing its connected. How can I tell it to use that connecion?

I'm gonna answer myself in order to help people that might stumble accross this post with the same question.

I downloaded Vodafone Mobile Connect Card Driver for Linux. Install it and then go to prefrences to edit the logon detials. If your carrier uses dinamic address, uncheck the DNS box and run a check in the diagnostic tool of the program. It will tell you there was a error trying to connect to the gateway. Save the report and then go to it (you can't see it before saving it). Check what the DNS settings are and go and check the DNS box you unchecked earlier and then put the DNS settings in there. Then, you should be able to connect and use the connection.


This was just a temporary solution on my one laptops as I want to install the internal card I have. So if anyone can help me with that at this threadit will be appreciated.
