Question 3com 3c905c NICS will not light up!

Hey Guys I need a little help,
I have RH7.2 installed on a machine at home. I installed 2 3com 3c905c Nics, they were recognized and seem to be working fine. I can access the Internet via cable modem (ATT / Media One) with either Nic.
Here comes the funny and frustrating part, when I connect either card to my win2K machine (which also has a 3c905c NIC) I get no Lights or Communication. Windows says my Ethernet cable is disconnected and I can't ping either way.
I am sure there might be something really stupid and obvious that I am doing wrong but I can't seem to figure it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

-Thanks cludwin

how will it, you need to run masquerading form the cable connected interface to the internal network interface( one connected with the w2k) . this is like setting up a home network. below is a very good link to the howto

Solved!

The problem was that I was using a regular Network cable, for computer to Router type network this is cool. However for computer to computer (peer to peer) networking you need a special "crossover" cable because two nics will broadcast the "I'm connected signal" over the same wire and also listen for the "I'm connected signal" on another wire therefore don't get along very well.
