3C59X can't load


I am getting the following error message on boot up:

Can't locate module 3C59X . How do I fix this problem.

did you compile your own kernel ?
did you add support for the 3c59x card ?

The NIC card was working before. It just stopped working all of a sudden. When I installed Debian, I installed support for the card and it was working. Now this error message comes up on boot up and I no longer have a network connection.

use the "lspci" command to check if you NIC is detected

you have to use lspci and compile the kernel as module the nic
