Unhappy [ Still unsolved ] OpenVPN client and Postfix : possible ?

Am trying to run OpenVPN client and Postfix on a NAS at the same time.
Once the VPN is up (and virtual tap0 is created) Postfix cannot send nor receive since all its traffic goes through tap0.
Tried to cheaply trick Postfix by changing inet_interfaces to eth0 IP or 127.0.0.1...but without any luck.
I don't think am going in the right direction to solve my problem...so please can anyone enlighten me ?

Thanks a lot.
