Question using kannel smpp and my GSM modem simultaneously

MY CRAZY THINKING OR NOT????
I might be crazy to even think this.
i have installed kannel and configured it,everythings cools to that point!.However,i need to
setup both my GSM modem as well SMPPSimulator as the smsc(Short message service center).
I have an application that binds to the smppsimulator and i want the gsm modem to fetch the incoming messages from the user. Then the fetched messages delivered to the smpp simulator for processing by my java app.If their is a better was to go about this,
i'll be glad to know.Im in the testing phase of my software development process
and i really need this to work. Thanks in advance
