ubuntu on tablet?
 
i know canonical discuss with constructers for having there os in tablets...
but did it exist a tablet with ubuntu preinstalled?
if you tried ubuntu on a tablet,how is it?
fluid?,usable?
i want to know everything :)

Hey mate, I don't think they have been able to convince any OEMs to pre-install Ubuntu on any tablets yet. Even if they did I don't think it would be bigger than Android.

i think theres the same amount of apps on ubuntu than on android or ios.....

I would buy an Ubuntu tablet for exactly two reasons:
- I wouldn't have to pay a Microsoft tax (I think it is impossible to get a tablet without OS)
- I would know that it is compatible with Linux and I can easily install the distro of my choice (in my case it would be Slackware, of course)

you need unity or gnome and your ready to explore the world ;)
gnome 3 on tablet is awesome so if you put slackware with it.... ;)

Actually I would rather go for a custom build desktop, may be Openbox with AWN or something similar. Not a fan of those dumbed down hard to customize DEs, but to each his own, if you like it then use it.

i tried a configuration like this on a tablet and its awefull.
i feel like using windows 95 with a gamepad :s
awn is a cool idea .....
