Ubuntu, Blackberry 8330 and Setup


I used this how to and tried to get it working but without success:

When I plug in the blackberry Ubuntu sees the device:

I tried another method of installation via the barry website:

I am cannot get past the ./buildgen.sh. This is the error that I get and I have all the dependencies installed according to there instructions:

Put foot in mouth. I needed automake. I will give update soon.

I am able to back up the blackberry but I am not able to sync. I will look into a little further and let you know.

Success connecting the USB as Modem and Backing up

hi
I have successfully installed the barry using git hub. I can backup as well as connected Internet tethering my blackberry 8820 USB modem in eight easy steps.
See BlackBerry as a Modem with Barry

This would work.
