Stream netflix from android phone to PC

hi

I have an android phone with no hdmi. I'm sure it can't be done but I will asked anyway if it is possible.

I want to stream netflix movies from my phone to my computer for a better and larger view. Can this be done?

Netflix will probably size the download from the android. What's the resolution of your Android screen? Personally, I imagine it could be done, but that you won't get hdmi - there will be some bottleneck. For 30 fps you'd need most of 10MB/S all the way through the system.

Sums:
1920 x 1080 x 30; divide result by 8; Add approx 1 MB/S for the sound track, and 10-15% for protocol related stuff (perhaps parity bits, checksums, headers/footers & talk back).

Thanks business_kid for the reply.

I did a google search on this to no avail.

If my phone did had a hdmi port I could simply connect it to the TV and watch from there.

OH well : /

OK I did a google search on mhl cable. But I doubt it will work unless my hone has the ability to output the video to hdmi or something.

I am planning to buy a roku or similar product for netflix plackback.

Thanks for the reply

mhl is a standard that allows for HD signal output on different sorts of connectors. Some phones' microUSB connectors are also mhl ports.

There is a Netflix/Wine solution for Linux- it works pretty darn well.

You might want to look into that before you drop the money on a Roku. This way you could just attach a laptop to the TV via HDMI and bypass the phone entirely.
