not able to connect to internet using nokia 3230 on debian

i want to use my nokia 3230 as modem to connect to internet on debian. i have used wvdial for it and the initial run gave the following output: root@satish:/home/satish# wvdialconf Editing `/etc/wvdial.conf'. Do you have the program pppconfig on your device? Maybe that would work instead of wvdial.
