I'm installing ubuntu 10.10 in a VM just to see what's new and got to reading about Ubuntu One Mobile option. It looks like an interesting service, but I was wondering how it actually performs in the real world. Is anyone out there using it, and what are your opinions?

I have been using 10.10 since Alpha 1. Yes, it definitely has its quirks (in particular, when I sync music to my iPod from Rhythmbox, it won't play on the iPod), but overall, very few bugs. It also has some neat features. Take a look:

As far as Ubuntu One Mobile, it will cost you $3.99 per month, but it's definitely worth the investment: You can easily sync files from your PC to your phone. You can also get Ubuntu One for Windows and be able to sync documents with Windows machines. Of course, you may not need that (after all, you're a die-hard Slackware user).

But it advertises that I can stream my ENTIRE music collection to my phone via my "personal cloud". Right now that's about 40+ GB of music. Any experience there?
