Do a web search for maybe these terms. "Linux from scratch on ARM" It would show a number of pages for clues. Either cross compile or build embedded or build on system.

Best bet is usually finding info about your tablet. Used to be Cyanogenmod had info but they are more into phones now. Some web page may have detailed info about your tablet and attempt to put linux on it.

What details regarding my tablet do I need ??

Best thing to know is what chipset it uses. Since almost every ARM is a System on a Chip, knowing the chipset will give most of the relevant information. Then how much memory and how large a drive, and that should cover everything needed.

The big obstacle I see is that LFS uses gnu tools, but your tablet only comes equipped with busybox tools, which have a much smaller feature set. So many of their clever little console commands would behave differently as non existent features would be ignored.
