hsdpa with slackware
Hi, I have bought a 3G+ phone (zylo - w20i) and wanted to use it under slackware 13.37.
It works fine under Ubuntu 12.04 Remix with KDE and (K)networkmanager. There are three devices, namely /dev/usb0 /dev/ttyACM0 and /dev/ttyACM1. The IP address is assigned by dhcpclient to usb0. Networkmanager showed two network interface, firstly a wired IF /dev/usb0 and a mobile broadband ( I do not know which one). The connection perfectly works with usb0 but with mobile broadband - HSDPA {as it reports} it works after several attempts without rebooting my phone.
When I tried todo the same under slackware13.37. I am not using /dev/ttyACM0 or /dev/ttyACM1 here. I modified /etc/rc.d/rc.inetd1.conf(first time for internet connection) for /etc/rc.d/rc.inetd1 to assign automatically an IP address and it works but I could not ping slackware.com or getting anything in neither konqueror nor firefox. I am currently using the latest vanilla kernel as well as the 2.6.37 kernel.
