Google Voice with Android

I've read that Google Voice is extending the free domestic talk if using the web through 2012.

If I use Google voice on my android phone does it still counts as carrier minutes (anytime minutes), but if I use it on a computer is it free, using my phone?

Thnx.

If you forward your Google Voice number to your Cell Phone then Yes you will use your minutes, if you use your phones web browser to connect the call then you would not use minutes but you will use data. Depending on what kind of calling plan you have, and or data plan, will determine which method makes more sense to use.

Thnx.
