Question Font size on Nokia N900

I ma new to the site and also new to Linux so please forgive me. I have a Nokia N900 and have seen online that there are ways to alter the font size in the x terminal which is Linux based.
I would be so grateful if someone could help me as the contacts and numbers are so small on the phone that i get sore eyes trying to read them.
