enabling universe
 

Hi I am trying to enable universe on backtrack linux 5. could someone please help on this. I already set the rfcomm configurations.

with ubuntu loading restricted extras enables universe

enable ubuntu universe repos
 

with ubuntu loading software center > restricted extras

enables some universe pkgs

I am having similar issues. Oh well, time to Google

enabling universe:

go to administration > synaptic package manager > settings > repositories

under software you will see packages/repos listed some will show (universe) after the listing

check the box close the window it will say ropos have changed then reload

some distros list these outside synaptic but it should be in administration
