Booting tablet pc with linux on usb pendrive
I have a "superpad3" tablet which has usb port for connecting pendrives. Can I boot the tablet with linux on usb pendrive? How can I access the BIOS settings of tablet to set this up?

You would be better off finding a site or forum dedicated to working with these cheap Chinese tablets/netbooks, as they are very specific pieces of hardware; general PC knowledge really has no bearing on this kind of thing.
But I can tell you to start with that there won't be anything you would recognize as a "BIOS" on a device like that, and while it is probably possible to boot Linux on it, it won't be as easy as extracting an ISO onto a flash drive and sticking it in there. |

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7EQHFOd82sA Could you direct me to the best way to put linux (any distro) on a tablet pc? I have checked google and seen many links but most are not complete. |
I think there is no option but to learn android for tablets.

I have read some articles in google, on how to install ubuntu linux in a tablet or phone. Some tablets are not compatible to install linux as system. Kindly check this link. https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...nandroid&hl=tl On my android phone i already installed custom rom (looking ubuntu) but i never try to install it on my phone. Also try budhi linux.

Tablet PC like this Fujitsu Lifebook and HP are can be modified to install any on linux, windows, and android. See images attached. You can modify their BIOS Setting to boot on a certain device for example on a pendrive, dvd or cdrom.

Thanks for your interest, information and the links.
http://linuxonandroid.org/ looks most exciting. Has anyone actually tried it? Does touchscreen work "out of box" in these installs? Which desktop environment is there in Debian images? Is installing on SDcard possible? It makes much more sense to have same operating system on mobile devices as on desktop. One would save so much time if there is no need to learn new operating system, applications and development methods. Connecting different devices is also likely to be much simpler. |
The first step is to root my device. What would be the best way to do it? I have downloaded z4root_1.3.0.apk which I can install and run. Thanks for your help.
