They find each other, they smile at each other and give me two windows saying "do you want to?" I reply yes. The Android says "Paired." The iPad raises a middle finger and says "Not connected" and that's it. Latest IOS & Android OS(4.3).
I have put it aside for the moment. Bluetooth is usually file transfer, but I have a son in software(he's good at it) and he spent a week recompiling and library matching trying to get some version of a bluetooth dongle working for a project. He failed, after not inconsiderable effort. I decided thenceforth to apply the old research joke to bluetooth:
Are there any bluetooth multiplayer games for android??. I have already checked play store and found many board games and didnt see any other genre. My preference is racing games. So does anybody Know?
@baaltom: Start a new thread if you can't find any. This thread was about comms.
I got to the bottom of my bluetooth issue with Android & Ipad Air, by reading up on the docs on libmobiledevice. http://www.libmobiledevice.org
It turns out to be a WIP as Apple willfully obfuscate and make things difficult for other systems; and of course, as soon as the software is sorted, Apple update and change it again :-/. So they don't communicate because my Android is not an Apple device, and Apple want to keep their users locked up.
