Android: alternative way to pick up an incoming call
Another Android newbie question: Is there a way to configure an Android with an alternative way to pick up an incoming phone call?
Here's why: I often have dirty or wet hands when the Android rings and so can't immediately wipe the screen to answer the call. Go ahead and laugh. Then when you're done laughing, tell me whether i could possible configure something somewhere so that i could, say, push the power button or volume button or tilt the phone on its side and then back again in order to answer the call.
Here's my Android:
Blu Dash Jr running Android 2.3.5, Hardware version 1.1.0, Kernel 2.6.35.7, software version BLU-D140-V14-GENERIC 18-02-2014 10:02:10
Apps are in the Google Play Store. There is a search function there. You can also find apps not available there other places, like xda-developers. Most phones allow changing the way calls are answered, through the settings.
There are others. None of these work for you? It's possible your phone is just too old to run any of them, or perhaps doesn't even have an accelerometer. If so, you may just need to get a new phone.
Still haven't figured out how to get Google to accept my account to use the play store. But the 3rd option, Just Shake, was pretty easy to download and install and seems at first blush to be doing what i needed. Thanks, all.
