Android Adoptable Storage access

Has anyone tried to access their Android phone v6+ SD card under linux?

I've backed up the partitions and had to fill some zero's in the data partition on one block.

One post suggests a way to access the encrypted data.

Since I have a copy I am free to play with almost any attempt.

Thanks.

For grin's I'll try the attach on an external reader to phone and see if I can adopt it again.

Internally it simply says to re-insert or Forget.

Yes. I have an Samsung S7 Edge and a Google Nexus 9, both on Android-7.+

Power off, insert the thing, and power on. File Manager will see it. More fool you for encrypting it, if you live a normal life. The google Nexus is considerably less cooperative than the Samsung. 4.4.2 was the last good version for that.

From memory, they nobbled any storage connected via usb because it was a security risk; that began with android-5.0. They've modified it somewhat (no details) or maybe Samsung have, but it's quite restricted. There is a reboot keypress combo (home_volume up_power??). Google's Nexus 9 doesn't even have an sd card.
