Hold the text dialog for a few seconds and it will pop up with the prompt asking you if you want to copy/paste.

Thanks for the response. I see that in Colornote, I can hit menu/edit and that allows me to highlight one word and then cut of copy that word or, as an alternate I can select All Text. So I can probably cut and paste from one note to the other within that app but I can't cut or copy anything between "One word" and "All words".
That said, having copied a single word from Colornote, I have no way to paste it into the input box of other apps such as facebook or google search. At least I dont't see that capability.
So that expands my question to how do I select more than one word for cut copy and how do I paste text into other Apps and how do I select and copy/cut text from Apps that do not have the Menu/Edit function ??? :-)
Not trying to be difficult, I would just like to know. I used to be able to do those things on a BB Storm and am curious as to how to make it happen here on the Droid X running Android 2.1
Thanks again for your response

If you press and hold on the text dialog as suggested two arrows should show up around your selected text allowing you to select more or less. Once you've made your selection you can then press and hold again to get the copy paste dialog and after hitting copy; paste this into anyplace that allows you to paste.
