access to "secret codes" on Android tablet

Does anyone know how to access the "secret codes" on an Android tablet that does not have a "phone dialer" app? You can read about Dial Pad Codes here and elsewhere.

These codes enable access to all sorts of informational and diagnostic displays and features. I've tried several Play Store™ dialer apps without success. (NOTE -- They don't activate the secret features on my phone either.) Since a tablet lacks a "phone dialer" or "dial pad" there is no way to key the codes.

Merci d'avance,

From http://www.androidquestions.org/thre...t-a-dialer-app:

Apps such as Secret Codes Revealer (https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...group.software) will allow you to search for and access secret codes on android tablets that don't have a dialer.

When I tried to access the link in this thread.
However, the link at AndroidQuestions.org worked fine.
I have not tried to discover why.

I just noticed that the link that failed was "https" while the one that worked was plain "http".

As far as the app itself goes, the install and run worked as expected. However, I did not get useful information for my GT-N5110 tablet.
