Wireless G USB Hub - Elyssa Download Cap?
Yeah, why is it that Elyssa (or some part of Elyssa) has my downloads capped at 121kbps when any other distro will work at my actual cap (which is closer to 750KB/s). Any ideas guys?
Hub used - WUSB54G v4 HTTP (Protocol used) Output of IFCONFIG: randomuser@randomuser-desktop ~ $ ifconfig eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr AA:AA:AA:AA:AA:AA UP BROADCAST MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1 RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000 RX bytes:0 (0.0 B) TX bytes:0 (0.0 B) Interrupt:16 Base address:0xa000 lo Link encap:Local Loopback inet addr:127.0.0.1 Mask:255.0.0.0 UP LOOPBACK RUNNING MTU:16436 Metric:1 RX packets:292 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:292 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:0 RX bytes:14600 (14.2 KB) TX bytes:14600 (14.2 KB) wlan0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr AA:AA:AA:AA:AA:AA UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1 RX packets:3 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:7 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000 RX bytes:397 (397.0 B) TX bytes:1731 (1.6 KB) I've already asked the guys at LinuxMint forums, and no one has assisted me yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :) |
The download may depend on the speed of the server that you are connected to.
- try a different ftp site. |
It's the same w/ every server I'm connected to. I wish it were that simple :X
