wine crashes mint 16


wine 1.4.1 crashes in petra total screen lock up I even reinstalled wine with no luck.It works fine in 13.04 and 3.4.2 so I am clueless.

Try to delete .wine configuration folder

Code:
rm -r ~/.wine
You will lose all software installed with wine.

I tried that and no luck.could it be a bug in 16?

Linux Mint 16 is still RC, maybe it gets a bug on wine package. Wait until it goes stable.
In the meantime, you can use linux mint 15.

I might also suggest Mint 13. Unless you want to keep upgrading all the time, you should stick exclusively to the LTS releases. There's not enough benefit in getting the newest release.
