Not sure if this is the right forum for this but here goes

Am using Linux Mint for a year now, been great. My internet connection has been mobile broadband from vodafone, no problems finding modem, connecting or anything. Today though I couldn't connect, 'network connections' shows vodafone under mobile broadband tab but when I click on network connection icon, where it used to show vodafone as a connection option it no longer does. I played around with adding and deleting connections and got it to show connection again but then when I clicked on it got message re: network manager needing password to unlock keyring, i used my log in password and it then said vodafone mobile connect for E690 needs password !! I phoned vodafone and they said it doesn't usually ask for a password but 0000 is what they use. That didn't work and now I can't get the icon to show a vodafone connection again so not possible to give you the exact messages, anyhow...... any ideas?? Oh and the mobile 3G dongle is E169 so not sure why it's asking for password for E690!? Thanks in anticipation
