trouble running 'tasksel' to add features
I wanted to add OpenSSH server to my Mint-16 KDE workstation.
I didn't want to go through several passes of "Oops, I need to add __XXX__" so that I had all of the useful and important parts.
In the past, tasksel has served me well when I wanted to add server features to my workstation configuration. I grabbed tasksel from the Mint-16 repositories and opened an xterm. As I've done before, I launched tasksel, selected OpenSSH and said, "GO".
Aaarrrggghhh!?!?!? Before I could halt the processing, tasksel had caused a large number of already installed packages to get removed. I've never seen this behavior before. Has tasksel changed or is there some problem?
Thanks in advance,
