Screen Resolution Rant

Just installed Mint 11 and could not find app to change the screen resolution. After some research I discovered that there wasn't one in the install - you had to d/l and install it youself. So, if anyone is interested ---

sudo apt-get install grandr

And Mint is #1 at DistroWatch - go figure.

Was this a LXDE Mint 11 install?

Yep - LXDE
grandr won't save resolution change on reboot but lxrandr does.

I'm just saying they could have left something else out (like one of the MPlayers for instance) and put in a display changer. Of course I am ancient, half senile and almost blind so what do I know!
