Screen and Stylus rotate not working in Fedora 11
Hi All
I have a Fujistu ST5020 Pentablet which ran Fedora core 10 with a specific xorg.conf to get the stylus working and screen rotation working with xrandr - while this worked fine a bug in the wacom drivers caused the stylus to become out of line/sync if you put the pentablet to sleep after any rotation - (this could be solved with a simple restart of x).
However I have just updated to Fedora 11 and noticed X picked up everything out the box and thus the stylus and everything works with no need for a manual xorg.conf - However I cannot rotate the screen (xrandr does nothing) - This whole working out the box gave me some promise that if I could rotate the screen and didn't have to manually create a xorg.conf that it may also resolve the stylus/sync issue after sleeping.
Please can anyone offer some advise,
In Fedora 10 I used the following small script to rotate
#!/bin/bash
if test -f /tmp/.rotatelock ; then
xrandr --output LVDS --rotate normal
xsetwacom set stylus Rotate None
rm /tmp/.rotatelock
else
touch /tmp/.rotatelock
xrandr --output LVDS --rotate right
xsetwacom set stylus Rotate CW
fi
exit
However as expected in F11 I get errors for device stylus which I can fix by changing the device to FUJ02e5 (from the xorg log) but the xrandr just delivers loads of :-
(II) Intel (0): EDID for output VGA1
** then loads of lines not using default mode "Res X Res" (vrefresh out of range) or hsynce refresh out of range
Also in the messages I see :-
F11Build kernel: i2c-adapter i2c-0: unable to read EDID block.
F11Build kernel: i915 0000:00:02.0: VGA-1: no EDID data
F11Build kernel: i2c-adapter i2c-0: unable to read EDID block.
F11Build kernel: i915 0000:00:02.0: VGA-1: no EDID data
F11Build kernel: i2c-adapter i2c-1: unable to read EDID block.
F11Build kernel: i915 0000:00:02.0: LVDS-1: no EDID data
Any help or advise would be great
