Linux Mint 9 Isadora X Window crash how to debug?

Hi,

A few weeks ago I did a fresh Linux Mint 9 "Isadora" install.

Almost every day I get an X Window crash (same behaviour as doing ctrl+alt+backspace).

I have no clue how to trace this problem and what's the cause (Mint, nvidia restricted drivers, ...)

This is very annoying because after the crash unsaved data is lost.

Which logs should I possibly view to detect the cause?

Thanks for any advice!
