installing from torrent and other torrent question

I just downloaded a file called /home/nate/Downloads/linuxmint-15-cinnamon-dvd-32bit.iso.torrent. Of course from the torrent . What do I do now ?
do I try to burn a disk with it ? is there something that's supposed to happen now from the hard disk or at boot?

Also I'm now uploading with the file i downloaded called transmission. Do i keep that upload going ? What am I required to do ethicly here? It seems that when i walk away from the computer I should invoke that program to upload but I'm not sure what's going on . I read a bit on it but don't know a thing yet ... lol

Thanks,
Nate

open up whatever torrent client you have and download the iso
using the torrent client

a "*.torrent" file is all of a few kb at most

it is only the file for downloading the iso

once the ios is fully DL'ed
burn the 4+ gig iso to a dvd

Ethically, it would be appreciated if you could seed back the whole file. In transmission you will see (eg.)

Quote:
4.00GB, Uploaded 2.00GB (ratio 0.50)
On the torrent line. If you can get the ration back to 1.00 then you have uploaded whatever you have downloaded and shared the file with other users
