Hi i got a question i got a Acer laptop and i got LINUX MINT every time i start it up when its on and desktops is on like affter 4 seconds black squars apear all around the desktop and i cant do anything could u tell me what should i do ! ?

Waiting for a replay
Here is what I've asked him so far....
As Root what is the output of ....(I assume this works in Mint as it does on my VL box and will give the video card info.)
lspci | grep VGA

Did he use Envy to set up his video?

and does he get the same behaviour when he uses he live CD?

If anyone has a good idea of what his trouble might be, your help would be greatly appreciated.

Until you get more info, it's anybody's guess.
What model Acer, what brand video card, what driver?
