Fonts in xterm

Mint 17.1 Rebecca; Cinnamon

The largest font I am able to specify in an xterm with the 'fn' option is 10x20. That's the largest sans font in /usr/share/fonts/X11/misc fonts.alias.

I'd like something bigger, but I have no idea how to get there. I installed the Ubuntu console font set, but using 'setfont' doesn't work in an xterm. Error is
Quote:
Couldn't get a file descriptor referring to the console.
I'm stumped and clueless.

Maybe this will help: http://scarygliders.net/2011/12/01/c...best-terminal/

The CTRL-right-click menu enables you to change font sizes in Xterm. The change is persistent, but is valid for the session.

Glad I could help. I just stumbled over that myself about three weeks ago.
